Here are some links of the DeMoe family.  The first one here is the HBO Documentary that our family was featured in.  The second is the whole film.  You can also watch the entire series from the website.  Very interesting if you don't know much about this disease.  I'm so proud of my cousins for putting themselves out there for all the interviews and awareness they have been raising.  The cousins in this documentary are my dad's oldest brother's children, along with their mother, my aunt.

This link is the article a news reporter did on our family just this past June in North Dakota.  This is my beautiful cousin on her wedding day, which my mom, sister, husband, two of my children, and myself  were so blessed to get to be there.  We live so far away we don't get to see all of the DeMoe's often enough. It was great seeing everyone and being around family.

This article in the Scientific American magazine is about another one of my cousins.

This website goes to a great site for caregivers.  The books under the products and services tab are books the founder, Brenda Avadian M.A., of this site has written.  The "Finding the Joy in Alzheimer's" books are stories and poems written by caregivers.  My mom has a story in each on of these books.
The first book, Finding the Joy in Alzheimer's  Caregivers Share the Joyful Times, her story is on page 60, "Do you take... in sickness and in health?"  "I do."  The second book, Finding the Joy in Alzheimer's  When Tears are Dried with Laughter, her story is on page 97, Jerry's Dream.
I am reading , "Where's my shoes?" My Father's Walk Through Alzheimer's. right now, but so far is very touching and good to read for anyone.
